I was born in this town on March 29, 1973. Sukhumi is my native town. I finished school there and entered to the faculty of Georgian language and literature of State University. “Then the war was there”. The war (1992-1993) managed to disjoin me from my town, the sea, friends, relatives. The war took away my mother as well. I have been writing verses since school years. I was published in the local newspaper “Aphkhazetis Khma” (“The Voice of Abkhazia”).That was my first publication – the greatest joy. Verses helped me to revive after the war but rains became more frequent in my poetry. Thanks God, I always trusted in the Lord and I never lost love to the Sun. I have six collections of verses: “April Without You” (2001), “Obliterated Bayat (Oriental Song”) (2004), “Shells” (2008), “The Moon and The Street” (2010), “The Sun Rhapsody” (2013), “Narcosis” (2020). In 2021, my first children’s collection of poems “Sparrow Garden” was published, which was awarded the Nakaduli Literary Prize in 2022. My verses are published in Georgian periodicals – newspapers and literary journals. They are introduced in anthology of Georgian Poetry as well as in the collections of poets from Abkhazia “Mtsire Gulani” (published in 2011). I am a participant and winner of several literary competitions. I work at Sukhumi State University Publishing House (The University is in Tbilisi after the war in Abkhazia, 1993).
